Priority 06 · Policy area under development

Regions, Infrastructure & Devolution

Power closer to people. Investment tied to outcomes.

This page sets out Revival Party’s current direction of travel for regions, infrastructure & devolution. It is a public policy-development page, not a final manifesto commitment. Detailed proposals should be published with costs, trade-offs, evidence and implementation plans before becoming formal commitments.

The Challenge

Economic opportunity, transport, digital connectivity and access to investment remain uneven across the UK, and centralised decision-making can weaken local accountability.

Our Direction

Give places clearer powers and responsibilities, invest against transparent economic criteria, improve transport and digital infrastructure, and build on the distinctive strengths of cities, towns and rural communities.

Local Power & Investment

Power closer to people. Investment tied to outcomes. Revival Party’s regions, infrastructure and devolution policy would link greater local decision-making to clear accountability, publish the case for major investment, strengthen transport and digital connections, support productive local economies, and measure whether public spending actually improves jobs, access and opportunity across towns, cities and rural communities.

Status: This policy area remains under development. Revival Party will distinguish between ideas under consideration, current proposals and formal commitments as the policy programme develops.
